About the Author
Inspired by the fascinating world of natural products, their biosynthesis, and their significant role in medicinal chemistry, I have delved into the sphere of total synthesis to gain deeper insights into these unique molecules.
I completed my diploma thesis on organocatalysis under the guidance of Prof. Rainer Mahrwald at HU Berlin. During my PhD, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dirk Menche at the University of Bonn, I focused on the total synthesis of complex polyketides. To further broaden my research expertise, I embarked on a research stay at TU Dresden, working in the laboratory of Prof. Peter Metz. Following that, I had the privilege of being a postdoctoral fellow at Hong Kong University, collaborating with Prof. Pauline Chiu.
Since the end of 2021, I have been actively engaged in research on antiviral nucleosides within the group led by Prof. Billy Ng at CUHK. My research aims to contribute to the development of effective antiviral agents.
