About this Site

This website aims to provide highlights of international research in organic and medicinal chemistry. The target audience are students and professionals who are fascinated by the art of total synthesis and drug development. Furthermore, the pages integrate small exercises to challenge the own knowledge and to refresh the memory on chemical reactions. Each page discusses a publication and provides a short but informative extracts on recent advances in total synthesis, catalysis, organocatalysis, medicinal chemistry and organic chemistry in general.

For now two different books are currently available. The first book discusses total syntheses which has been published in the recent years. 

The second book discusses the synthetic routes of nucleoside analogues. It will also cover concepts in the synthesis of antiviral and anticancer drug candidates, pharmacokinetics and recent advances in nucleoside analogues.
